Applications are now open for the Going Global Export Program: Net Zero & Energy Transition to the United Kingdom, run by Investment NSW. The program, open until 15 February 2026, aims to help NSW companies offering Net Zero solutions across the energy supply chain prepare for and enter the UK market.
Running from March to May 2026, the program includes a six- to eight-week market preparation course followed by a trade mission to the UK. Participants will gain tailored advice, take part in business meetings and attend the All Energy Glasgow Exhibition and Conference—the UK’s largest renewable and low-carbon energy event.
The itinerary also includes site visits and meetings in London, Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Cardiff, providing first-hand exposure to regions leading the UK’s energy transition. A NSW business representative must attend in person.
The Northeast of England and Wales are seen as strong entry points for NSW firms seeking to expand overseas. The northeast has become a major clean-energy hub through offshore wind, carbon capture and storage, and large-scale projects such as Net Zero Teesside Power and the Green Superport. Wales, supported by £9 billion in clean-energy investment, is advancing hydrogen, tidal, and CCS technologies, creating opportunities for collaboration in engineering, smart grids, and industrial decarbonisation.
The program targets export-ready NSW businesses with products or services produced primarily in the state. Eligible firms must have between three and 199 employees, demonstrate export potential, and commit to completing both the training and travel components.
Ideal applicants include companies working in wind, hydrogen, energy storage, smart grids, or other Net Zero technologies—sectors with growing expertise in the Hunter and Newcastle regions.
An online information session will be held on 17 December 2025 at 5:30 pm AEDT, featuring Investment NSW advisers and market specialists from the UK office. Applications are now open open and close on Sunday 15 February 2026
