The Hunter Climate Innovation & Investment Summit will be held on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at the i2N Hub in Honeysuckle, Newcastle. The one-day event is produced by Greenhouse as part of Climate Action Week Sydney, aims to examine how an established industrial area is responding to Australia’s decarbonisation journey. Lending their support for the summit are Hunter iF, Future Group, Investment NSW, I2N and Beyond Zero Emissions.
The summit is structured to run from 11:00am to 6:00pm, with optional morning tours from 9:00am. It will focus on the Hunter’s role in energy transition across green energy, metals, and manufacturing, drawing together regional leaders, investors, industry representatives, and founders.
Morning tours and regional context
The day begins with optional morning tours of climate and energy-related sites across the region. These tours are intended to provide participants with on-the-ground exposure to local projects and infrastructure before formal discussions commence at the i2N Hub.
Following the tours, the main program will move indoors for a series of panels and presentations that examine transition challenges and opportunities from a regional perspective.
Panels centred on investment and transition
The summit agenda includes an investor panel focused on regional opportunities, alongside an industry panel examining energy and infrastructure transition. These sessions are designed to explore how capital, policy, and industrial capability intersect within the Hunter’s economy.
An innovator showcase will also feature regional founders working on climate, energy, and industrial solutions, providing a platform for early-stage and scaling companies to present their work to investors and industry participants.
Designed for connection and collaboration
Networking sessions will close the day, giving attendees time to connect directly with investors, founders, and industry representatives. The event format places equal weight on structured discussion and informal engagement.
The summit is aimed at participants who want to explore regional approaches to industrial transition, meet investors with an interest in regional projects, connect with founders developing energy and industrial solutions, and identify potential partnerships within the Hunter.
