Regional suppliers in New South Wales now have a clearer pathway to work in renewable energy projects through a new online hub.
A Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) topics page has been launched on the Industry Capability Network (ICN) Gateway. The free platform allows businesses to register their details, update capability profiles and connect with buyers across clean energy and infrastructure projects.
Nearly 500 supplier profiles have already been refreshed for the new page, giving local businesses greater visibility when project developers search for goods and services.
“The Renewable Energy Zones topics page makes opportunities more visible and transparent,” EnergyCo Director Community Benefits & Outcomes, Yvette Lloyd, said.
“From small businesses in Dubbo to contractors in the South West region, this initiative gives regional businesses the tools and confidence to thrive in the growing energy landscape.”
The Gateway now provides two main options for REZ developers: full project pages where businesses can submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for work packages, or quick searches through the topic page to identify suppliers. ICN Executive Director Ian Hudson urged interested businesses to ensure their profiles on the platform is complete and current.
“REZ project developers and their entire supply chain now have two ways to find relevant local suppliers of goods and services. Businesses within the REZs who want to supply into the many REZ projects should make sure they have an up-to-date capability profile on Gateway by ICN,” Hudson said.
