Australian hydrogen businesses and research organisations can now watch the on-demand webinar Global hydrogen partnership opportunities: World Hydrogen Summit 2026, following its recent delivery as part of Austrade’s European Sustainability Series.

The recorded session steps through how Australian organisations can take part in the Australian delegation to the World Hydrogen Summit (WHS) 2026, which will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from 19 to 21 May 2026. It also outlines the practical steps required to apply, with expressions of interest closing on 23 January 2026.

What the webinar covers

The webinar focuses on how Australian participants can prepare for and benefit from involvement in the world’s largest hydrogen-dedicated event. Topics covered include the registration process, what Team Australia’s presence at the summit will involve, and how business matching sessions are structured to connect delegates with potential partners.

It also explains how participation in the delegation links to Austrade’s wider Europe market visit program, which runs ahead of the summit and is designed to help Australian organisations build market knowledge and commercial connections across the region.

Why the delegation matters

WHS 2026 is expected to attract around 15,000 exhibition attendees, 2,000 delegates, and more than 350 speakers from government, industry and research. The summit program is centred on real project experience across hydrogen supply chains, including production, storage, transport, certification, infrastructure and finance.

For Australian companies, the delegation offers a structured way to engage with international decision-makers, technology users and project developers in one place. It also provides access to curated networking activities alongside the main conference program, supporting more targeted conversations than attending independently.

Who should watch and apply

The webinar and delegation are aimed at Australian hydrogen equipment, technology and services providers with industry-ready offerings across generation, storage, transformation and transport. Australian research bodies working on energy solutions relevant to European markets are also encouraged to view the session and consider applying.

Next steps

The webinar replay is now available online, giving prospective participants a clear overview of what is involved in joining the Australian delegation to WHS 2026. Organisations interested in taking part must submit an Expression of Interest by 23 January 2026.

With the summit fast approaching, Austrade is encouraging eligible Australian organisations to review the webinar, assess their readiness, and decide whether participation in the delegation fits their export and partnership plans.
