EnergyCo, working in partnership with the NSW Department of Education, is calling on local businesses to take part in the Hunter Renewable Energy Skills and Careers Expo. Set for Tuesday 26 August at Club Macquarie in Argenton, the expo will see around 600 Year 9–12 students from Hunter high schools, along with their parents and teachers, gather to explore career paths in renewable energy and sustainability.

The expo gives participating organisations the opportunity to present your innovations, technologies and career pathways to students and families, interact with parents and educators, and raise awareness of the varied professions available in the sector. It’s also a chance to inspire future talent through education and training pathways suited to your workforce needs, while forging stronger community connections.

Showcase your organisation whilst presenting your innovations, technologies, and career pathways to students and families by offering hands‑on activities and interactive displays that facilitate meaningful conversations between professionals, students and parents.

By taking part, businesses not only contribute to growing a future workforce, they also stand to expand their networks by connecting with other industry players and government stakeholders.

The expo is specifically targeting employers in the renewable energy field and those involved in Renewable Energy Zones. The goal is to bring alive for attendees the pathway from classroom to career.
