International Women in Engineering Day 2026 Newcastle: networking

This year, Engineers Australia celebrates 13 years of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) with the theme Engineering intelligence. Across every career stage, women engineers bring insight, creativity and courage to complex challenges, delivering meaningful impact for industries and communities.

As part of Newcastle’s celebration of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) 2026, Engineers Australia is hosting an exclusive in‑person event featuring a keynote conversation with Professor Karen Blackmore, one of the region’s most respected academic leaders and technology innovators.

This Newcastle‑based event will spotlight the local women whose work is shaping the Hunter’s digital, industrial and education future, aligned with the INWED 2026 theme: Engineering Intelligence.

Guests will have the opportunity to hear directly from Professor Blackmore before continuing the conversation during a networking session.
