Beyond Zero Emissions is an independent think tank which provides optimistic and compelling solutions to the climate crisis, inspiring industry, political decision-makers, and regional communities to accelerate Australia’s shift to a zero-emissions economy. Beyond Zero Emissions conduct credible, non-partisan research into how to reduce emissions, showing how to unlock the economic, environmental and social benefits of decarbonisation. They engage deeply with industry, and showcase real-world businesses and projects to decision-makers, so they support emissions-reducing policies and projects. Beyond Zero Emissions aim to build wide public understanding about a zero emissions future that’s in our individual, economic and national interests. Their work taking action on climate is powered by supporters; you can join them at www.bze.org.au/donate.

Star Scientific Ltd is a private research and development company based on the NSW Central Coast. Star Scientific has developed the unique, globally patented, award-winning catalyst, HERO®, or the Hydrogen Energy Release Optimiser.  HERO® chemically catalyses hydrogen and oxygen into high-temperature heat, without burning the gases.  There are no greenhouse gases generated and the only output is pure water.   HERO® is a “true catalyst”, it does not give itself up to the process and therefore can be run continuously without degrading.  The commercial pathways for HERO® are process heat for industry, stand-alone energy systems, district heating, and waste and saline water treatment.  The food sector is particularly interested in HERO®’s capacity to provide process heat, and a number of pilot projects are under development. To learn more about Star Scientific, visit www.starscientific.com.au.

EnergyCo’s role is to plan and deliver Renewable Energy Zones and priority transmission projects under the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which will provide cleaner, more affordable and reliable electricity to consumers for generations to come.

As part of this, EnergyCo is tasked with co-ordinating the implementation the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP). The HTP is one of the State’s most critical energy projects that will strengthen the core electricity grid and supply clean energy to the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra where 80% of NSW’s electricity is consumed.
